If 0.0.0.0 is shown, your router has not obtained an IP address from your ISP. If your router cannot obtain an IP address from the ISP, you might need to force your cable or DSL modem to recognize your new router by restarting your network. As this is different, and obviously will change, it would be stupid setting a DMZ up on one of the above Ip addresses, unless your PS3 was the only device that would ALWAYS connect using that specific IP. Sep 22, 2008 · if youv'e set your own ip then dhcp wont assign one to your ps3. go to your network connections in your control panel and right click your connection. click tcp/ip and properties and make sure its set as obtain ip address automatically. you might want to think about making a static ip address if you have more then 2 computers on your network.
